A Mod for: ULTRAKILL

About the Mod

Masquerade Divinity is an ongoing mod created by me. The mod replaces the default loadout and movement mechanics with a completely new one, based on the game's main antagonist: Gabriel.

This one has been an interesting challenge to work on, as ULTRAKILL is such a tightly designed game that finding a way to approach the fundamental loadout from a new angle is a balance of studying and applying game design. There's a teetering line between going too far from what makes the game fun and staying too samey compared to what the original game has to offer. I want it to feel like a remix of the gameplay while still remaining true to the fast-paced action the game offers.

Not to mention having to replicate the art-style. I want to make the mod feel like official DLC for the game, which means carefully studying each texture and model to see what makes the style "ULTRAKILL".

About the Game

ULTRAKILL is a fast-past vertical old-school first-person shooter that fuses classic shooters like Quake, modern shooters like Doom (2016), and character action games like Devil May Cry. This game is a great study on game feel and how it can be taken to the limits, making each action feel like the player's dominating every time.
